Welcome to the Nurse's Station
School Nurse, Mrs. Maloney
Is My Child Sick Enough to Stay Home?
Parents-REMEMBER all students going into grades 2 and 4 need a PHYSICAL FOR THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR. You will find a white physical form in your child’s June report card. Please take this with you to the doctors’ appointment and send it back to the nurse's office as soon as possible.
We will be having early dismissal the last few days of school. Please stop by the nurse's office to pick up any remaining medication your child may have here. Any remaining meds left after the end of school will be thrown away.
Remember if your child will need medication in school in the fall, I will need a NEW written note from your doctor and you.
ATTENTION ALL 6TH GRADE SPORTS FANS-------
Sports physicals are being offered for anyone playing FALL SPORTS for the coming 2013-2014 school year June 4TH AND 5TH at the high school. ALL STUDENTS GETTING THESE SHOULD ALREADY HAVE PAPERWORK HANDED IN TO MRS MALONEY,
PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY NEW INFORMATION CONCERNING YOUR CHILDREN.
Helpful Hint: You may want to keep a bag with a dry pair of socks in your child's backpack.
If you suspect your child is sick please keep them home. Make plans now for someone to care for your child if they become sick later in the school year.
Please, Please - If your child has come home with clothing, sneakers or socks from the nurse, we need these items back. Please check and see if you have any of these at home, and send them to the nurse's office. Thank you!
Immunizations and Physicals!! Student physical requirements have been changed by New York State. For the Fall, 2012 - Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th level students will need a physical. First and third will no longer need exams done for those years.
Attention 6th Grade Students: All students entering 6th grade are required by law to have a TDAP shot by their 11th birthday. I have sent letters home explaining this. Please call your healthcare provider to make an appointment.
