The Liverpool Central School District's Programs in the Arts for Children (PAC) has begun its 41st year of providing cultural programming to elementary students.
PAC's fall donation drive and donations from each elementary school's parent organization fund its programming. Additional funds are collected from donations at the spring "Adventures in the Arts" showcase of student artwork and musical and storytelling performances. The 2013 Adventures in the Arts will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Liverpool High School from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
The PAC organization continues its legacy of fine cultural programming that enhances curricula where possible and introduces students to various forms of theater, opera, visual arts, orchestration / ensembles, dance and comedy--even magic! Each grade level sees at least two performances during the school year, and all fourth graders tour the Everson Museum of Art. The professional entertainers with whom PAC works are of such a high caliber that most have received prestigious accolades and awards as well as exposure on national and international stage, radio, and television. PAC programming reaches all elementary students in grades K-6, and students in 7th and 8th grades. The PAC organization meets the first Monday of every month, at 9:30 A.M. in the Conference Room of the form Wetzel Road Elementary School, located at 4338 Wetzel Road in Liverpool.
