Social Studies
 - click for larger image

Social Studies education helps students understand their roots, see their connections to the past, recognize the commonality of people across time, and understand their rights and responsibilities. Social studies students study history, geography, economics, government, and civics to help them become critical thinkers and responsible citizens in our American democracy.

Students are prepared to both do well on the grade 5 New York State Social Studies Assessment and move into secondary social studies with a strong foundation for deeper and more detailed study.
